After a good amount of work on the tabbed section of this site, it is working at an appropriate level.
At this point there are a few categories that show up in the tabs and the most recent post of each. If there is a related thumbnail imaged, it shows up on the right hand side, and if not there is a blank image that is 1 px wide, thus the size of the box is about the same, but the screen still looks good.
In the future we might work again on making the categories random, where if you have more then the max number you can get different ones each time. That is for another day.
