Summer Brownbag Concert

There was a free concert around lunchtime yesterday & we were there on the grounds of The People’s Church.

We arrived early, purchased some food – because we want to vote with our dollars and encourage more free concerts like this – and found a good place next to the sound tent.

There was an opening act named Article One and they were good. The band has a drummer, guitarist, bass, and violin. The violin made me smile & he was very fun. You know how normally at least one member of a band is really into the show and goes wild? Well with Article One, the craziest was the violinist.

I had my camera there, and instead of taking a bunch of stills, I had to switch to “video” mode and record some shows. (Working on getting those online.).

After the opening act were some announcements, they gave away a Wii, and Mark Stuart spoke on behalf of World Vision. It was neat to see him and his random comments about what all was going on with the former members of Audio Adrenaline.

Then came Superchic[k].

Superchic[k] is a high energy chick band, and has a lot of fun on the stage. They did a few songs from the CD that was officially released today (and available at the merch table that day).

They did play Alive, which they have released for free if you give them an email address.

It was a beautiful day, a little hot, but not too bad – especially when a clowd passed or a brease came along.

In the end, it was a very good concert and day.
