I capture many pictures, but if the camera auto settings are not good for the scene, I really had no clue how to take a picture.
The other day I was outside and noticed the moon & clouds. It looked cool. I went inside, grabbed my camera & spent a good bit of time attempting to capture the view I had.
Those pix are not what I was shooting for.
The next day I went and found a couple of youtube videos that explained a process. That night I went and attempted to duplicate the results.

Much improved, but I thought back on the image I had used for Starting Cube 25 – How to Succeed.
Looking at the pix from that night, I think I just got lucky.
A few days later, I was at a Krav Maga Seminar and first tried to just mess with the settings to get good shots in this dark room, with big windows (a strange combination).
Then I did something similar. I started looking at the values when I would almost take a pix in action mode, aperture mode, and a few others. Based on the values it said, I went into Manual mode, set the settings to around the same & played.
I’m pretty happy with the end result.
