Five Iron Frenzy is a ska band I enjoyed around a decade ago & is back after a huge kickstarter campaign.
They are independant & have done many things interesting from a relationship / fanbase building standpoint.
Yesterday was their newest move, and it featured this video:
Well, I have a hard time resisting at least looking at the files a band I like gives for one of these & have a tradition for a particular style.
Here I would like to present two version of It Was A Dark and Stormy Night by Five Iron Frenzy

Less is More Nation
Many songs today I like as they are, but find hearing the vocals a struggle. Also many times the vocal tracks released for remix, like this or in contests, the band (or their management) don’t release a clean vocal track. The vocal track has some reverb or whatever. This lead me to create a song where I just eliminated a bunch of unessecary noise, leaving an interesting combination of singing and insterments.
I’ve keep doing this as a good method for getting to the root of a song.
I could see me working with this track & doing something radically differant, because FIF gave a good vocal track. Here a orchestral remix I found:

Most of my song remixes are found on Soundcloud, at least the once I feel safe to release to people & are not infrending on copyrights.
