One of my big current projects is exploring ways to lock down parts of a wordpress based website. As an individual I want and like this due to the fact that I want to share some things with a small group and some things with the whole world.
In addition to, or partially because of, the biz I am in, this type of plugin will be useful for lots of additional situations, like with the plans we are developing for Artist Insider, System Nation, SpecialFamily.Net, and more.
The one system I am really seriously looking at right now is Wishlist Member. The videos show how robust it is, but also I have emailed back and forth with them and they both reply quickly and have shown to have the capability to support the system.
At this point I am still looking for more options before I pull the trigger; any ideas? (send them here)
Once a plugin is in place, I have plans to redevelop this site, and many others to offer a members only type of area. The themes we use as a base have improved dramatically and it is time for JonathanNation.com to get an upgrade, but only after the new plan is in place to provide more information in a better way.
